How do we seek the eternal realm of spirit whilst living in a world of constant change and flux soaked in negativity. This question comes up often. What spiritual practices should one undertake for purifying one's consciousness in an environment that is polluted with selfish passions, greed, cruelty and violence?

The Sanjeevinis have the ardent prayer to the Divinity for unique inner guidance for every one to the right spiritual teacher, the right spiritual books, the right spiritual practices (sadhana), the right company of people (satsangh) most appropriate for everyone's spiritual evolution. The prayers also seek the virtues of perseverance and determination to follow the spiritual path regardless of the challenging external circumstances one is placed in due to one's past Karmas.

It is therefore important to keep the ultimate goal of healing – Self -realization - in our awareness as we use Sanjeevinis for ourselves and offer service to others.

Each of the 324 Sanjeevini Cards (60 BPS and 264 DS) has the divine healing vibrations of a fervent prayer for the physical, mental, financial, social and spiritual well being of every soul. As Sanjeevini users and healers many of us have witnessed amazing healings at the physical, mental, emotional and even social and financial levels with these prayers.

There may be times when we may not notice a significant change in the physical and emotional health of a patient receiving the Sanjeevinis. Do not get disheartened or disappointed. Have complete faith, be patient, be in complete surrender and be assured that sincere prayers to the Lord offered with intense faith, selfless love and surrender are always working at the deepest level of the spirit, bringing about a silent purification of the consciousness.  Be it an individual, a family, a community, a nation, the whole world, all the worlds (lokas) in different planes of consciousness – every one in your sincere prayers will always be benefited.

“Worship or prayer, therefore, is not to be performed with the lips, but with the heart. And the prayers of those whose tongues are nectared but whose hearts are full of poison are never heard. He, therefore, who would pray to God, must cleanse his heart. Rama was not only on the lips of Hanuman, He was enthroned in his heart. He gave Hanuman exhaustless strength. In His strength he lifted the mountain (with the Sanjeevini herb) and crossed the ocean. That faith is nothing but a living, wide awake consciousness of God within. He who has achieved that faith wants nothing. Bodily diseased he is spiritually healthy, physically poor, he rolls in spiritual riches”

- Mahatma Gandhi

Every spiritual healing system is of course, at best a powerful means to the lofty goal of experiencing the divine within. Therefore, it is important that we do not get obsessed with a   “system” and miss out completely on the goal.  Our selfless desire and fervent prayer is to see every person holistically healed through any healing system that is most appropriate for his/her condition.  We should respect the pure healing intentions of every doctor/healer/counselor regardless of the system being used by him/her - Allopathy, Ayurveda, Homeopathy, Yoga, Reiki, Pranic healing, EFT, Radionics, Vibro healing, Sanjeevini healing…  This selfless attitude will strengthen the purity of our own selfless healing intentions and take us nearer to our goal of experiencing Oneness with the Divine through our healing seva.

“Man seeks joy in far places

and peace in quiet spots,

but the spirit of joy is in his heart,

the haven of peace is in himself.”

Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba
